2021 "The Conjurer" Red Blend 750mL
The 2021 Conjurer Bordeaux-style blend is composed of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Merlot. Comprised of 100% free-run juice, and aged for 11 months in about 25% new French oak barrels, it is dark magenta in color with a sultry nose of dark fruits, blueberries, and Christmas spices, and a great herbal note from the Cab Franc. The texture is plush on the mid-palate with nice acidity and firm yet inegregated tannins on the finish. Made to accompany food and good friends, this wine will drink well over the next 12-15 years.

Jeb Dunnuck - (91 Points)

A good value based on 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Merlot, the 2021 The Conjurer has spicy red and black fruits as well as some leafy herb and floral, spicy notes, medium body, a lively, elegant mouthfeel, and fine tannins. It shows the more mid-weight yet balanced, lively style of all the 2021s from this team. 1,000 cases.

Vinous - (91 Points)

The 2021 The Conjurer, a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot, is dark, sweet and floral, with a bouquet that blends dark chocolate and autumnal spice with dried black cherries. This is nicely rounded, with a balanced inner sweetness and a juicy core of red and blue fruits. Well-managed tannins frame the finish as the 2021 maintains a wonderfully fresh persona.

International Wine Report - (93 Points)

A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Merlot make up the 2021 Conjurer from Sleight of Hand Cellars. A scintillating nose of dark red plums, candied cherries, dried purple flowers, sweet red and black licorice, and dried herbs spill from the glass. Full-bodied with sweet tannins, graceful acidity, and a long-lasting finish helps complete the wine. 2024-2032

Sean P Sullivan NW Wine Report - (92 Points)

Cabernet Sauvignon (53%) and Cabernet Franc (40 %) comprise most of this wine, with the rest Merlot. All free-run juice aged 11 months in 25% new French oak, the aromas bring generous notes of dried and fresh herb, plum, and black cherry. The palate is pretty and poised, showing sophistication and detail but also intensity. The tannins are soft and beautifully integrated. There's sneaky freshness behind it all. 14.4% alcohol.
