The stunning 2020 Higher Ground, Red Mountain Grenache by Sleight of Hand pops with a light to medium neon ruby core and a blue rim in the glass. Out of the gate, aromas of black raspberries, candied Bing cherries merge into earthy notes of dried violets, mountain sagebrush, crushed chalk, and a touch of fresh lavender. It's medium to full-bodied, incredibly elegant and pure, and brings all those yummy Weathereve Red Mountain notes to the lengthy finish. Highly recommended and editor's choice. 2024-2034.

The 2020 Grenache Higher Ground showed beautifully.
Coming from the WeatherEye Vineyard, it has a vivid semi-opaque ruby color to go with classic Grenache red fruits, chalky minerality, cracked pepper, and flowers.
Firm, tannic, and medium-bodied on the palate, it has good mid-palate depth and concentration, yet needs 2-3 years to round into form.
