“Gonna keep on tryin’ until I reach my highest ground” – Stevie Wonder
Rand Seeley:
From a high elevation vineyard, this is an exquisite Grenache. It exhibits a brick red color and exotic aromas of strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, orange peel, crushed roses, lavender, olive tapenade and oriental incense. The flavors are deliciously supple, mouth filling and refined, with layers of red fruits that are intermixed with red licorice, cocoa powder, Earl Grey tea and high elevation baked earth. The allure continues on the back with gently pressed fruits, fraise and cassis liqueurs, pomegranate seeds and recurring orange peel and soft charcoal, followed by a lingering, ripe, lightly spiced finish. The complexities give it perfection in a Grenache. 20/20 points.
