2022 "The Sorceress" Reserve Grenache 750mL
The 2022 Sorceress Grenache is 100% Grenache sourced from three exceptional sites: 44% WeatherEye Vineyard, 31% Upland Vineyard, and 25% French Creek Vineyard. The wine included 65% foot-stomped whole cluster during its long, cool fermentation and was then aged on the lees in neutral French oak puncheons for 16 months before bottling. Showing brooding notes of Asian incense, warm baking spices, cherry Jolly Ranchers, black cherries, and blackberries, this powerful wine highlights the greatness of Grenache in Washington State. It's energetic, yet plush and the tannins play a wonderfu; supporting role to the fruit in this wine which should age gracefully for the next decade or more, but do not be afraid of popping one open sooner, preferably wth great food, music and friends. Cheers!

WeatherEye, Upland and French Creek vineyards supplied the fruit for this outstanding, pure varietal Grenache. It's packed with black fruits and accents of dark chocolate, coffee grounds, black tea and licorice. Dense and detailed, potent and pleasurable, this radiates character and quality from the first sip to the last lingering drop. The ascendance of Grenache in Washington state (when grown at the right vineyards) has been a wonder to behold. This is a great wine and a shining example of what Grenache can be here. 14.9%; $65 (Yakima Valley) 98/100

Jeb Dunnuck:
All Grenache, the 2019 Grenache The Sorceress Reserve reveals a translucent ruby/purple color as well as pretty, savory red fruits, sandalwood, and spicy aromas and flavors. Lightly textrured and medium-bodied, with some obvious minerality, it't beautifully balanced and capable of keeping for 7-8 years. 92 Points
