The 2022 Illusionist “Reserve” Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Our Estate blocks in the Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mtn., and Walla Walla make up the final blend. The wine was aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. It greets you immediately with a combination of sweet and savory scents, mainly blackberry and blueberry notes intermingling with freshly turned soil and green peppercorns. Classic pencil lead and graphite notes linger in the background. This Cabernet has tremendous structure supported by fine-grained tannins and healthy acidity, ensuring this wine will have a long life in the cellar. You don’t have to wait 2 decades to open this, however. Just give it a healthy decant and enjoy with your favorite foods, music, and friends. Cheers!

The palate is bold yet refined, with lush blue and blackberries interwoven with dried thyme and a burst of candied blodd orange zest. Aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak, the wine carries a full-bodied presence, balanced by moderate-plus acidity and finely intergrated tannins that lend both structure and grace.
