2023 "The Sorceress" Grenache 750mL - NEW RELEASE!
The 2023 Sorceress Grenache is 100% Grenache sourced from four exceptional sites: 42% WeatherEye Vineyard (Red Mtn. AVA), 24% Upland Vineyard (Snipes Mtn. AVA), 19% Les Collines Vineyard (Walla Walla Valley AVA), and 15% French Creek Vineyard (Yakima Valley AVA). The wine rested in neutral French oak puncheons on its lees for 16 months before bottling. The wine saw 70% whole cluster during its cool fermentation. Showing notes of Asian incense, red sour cherries, fresh cut hay, cinnamon spice and strawberries, this powerful wine highlights the greatness of Grenache in Washington State. It’s energetic from the lively acidity and stem inclusion, however the tannins are refined and elegant. The 2023 Sorceress should age well for the next decade, but do not be afraid of popping one open sooner, preferably with great food, music, and friends. Cheers!

Boasting a full-bodied depth, the 2023 Sleight of Hand 'The Sorceress' Red Wine, grown in the Columbia Valley, opens with concentrated layers of wild marionberry and bruised black plum framed by velvety, fine-grained tannins. This 100% Grenache is sourced from the esteemed Les Collines and WeatherEye vineyards, where the fruit from each distinct parcel is harvested, vinified, and matured independently. Utilizing 100% whole-cluster inclusion and traditional foot treading, the winemaking team coaxes unusual complexity out of the fruit. A defining, stony undertone of crushed basalt provides excellent tension and sweet tannin, guiding this powerful red to an expansive and deeply savory finish.
