The 2022 Illusionist Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Our Estate blocks in the Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mtn., and Walla Walla make up the final blend. The wine was aged for 20 months in 55% new French oak. It greets you immediately with a combination of sweet and savory scents, mainly blackberry and blueberry notes intermingling with freshly turned soil and green peppercorns. Classic pencil lead and graphite notes linger in the background. This Cabernet has tremendous structure supported by fine grained tannins and healthy acidity. You don't have to wait 2 decades to open this, however. Just give it a healty decant and enjoy with your favorite foods, music, and friends. Cheers!
